7 Form. Asking the way. (Как спросить дорогу в незнакомом городе)
(Из пособия "Challenges" by Pearson Longman)
1.     – Excuse me. Can you tell me how to get to the new library, please?
-         Yeah, sure. Go down this street. Then turn right into the High Street.
-         Okay.
-         Go past the hospital on your right and turn left into Mill Street.
-         Hill Street?
-         No, Mill Street. Go down that street and the new library is on the left, opposite the church. You can’t miss it.
-         Thanks very much.
-         You are welcome.

- Hey, Kate! Can you do me a favour?

 - Yes. What is it?

- I’d like you to help me with my English. We’ve got an exam and I’m a bit confused about a couple of things.

- Sure, I’ll help. Come around to my house tonight.

-Great! Would you like me to help you with your maths? We’ve got an exam on Tuesday, haven’t we?

-That’s a good idea. Shall I ask my mum to make us pizza?

-         Fantastic!

Form 9. Job interview.

-          Well, we are interested in your application for the position of a project manager.

-          Well, I’m very excited about the position.

-          Well, I can see from your resume that you have a lot of work experience.

-          Yes, I had many job responsibilities.

-          What do you consider your greatest strength?

-          I’m very reliable. I always try to do my work on time.

-          I see. Very good. May I ask you what your greatest weakness is?

-          I have difficulty saying ‘No’, so I often work overtime. Sometimes I even forget what my company’s working hours are.

-          Very impressive. May I ask you why you’d like to work for this company?

-          Your organization is very successful and known throughout the world.

-          So you hope to have an international career?

-          Yes, I studied abroad before, but I haven’t worked for an international company yet.

-          Well, we may give you that chance. As soon as we review all our candidates, we’ll let you know our decision.

-          Thank you. I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Winter zoo. Do you love animals?

I love all kinds of animals:
Dogs and cats and rabbits.
I love all kinds of animals
Despite their little habits.

If I had tons of money,
Do you know what I would do?
I would buy lots of animals and have my own zoo.

But they wouldn't be in cages,
They would be free to run around,
And there is one thing they would feel:
And that is - safe and sound.

     – Emily, do you like playing football?

-         No, I don’t. I hate playing football. Basketball is Okay. I don’t mind that. We sometimes play it at school.

-         I don’t like basketball. It’s not very exciting. I love rugby and skateboarding. Skateboarding is cool.

      -   It’s dangerous. I like watching skateboarding. That’s not dangerous.

6 класс. Тема "Animals and People" Учим диалог (из пособия "Challenges" by Pearson Longman)

      – Can I ask you some questions about your work protecting cats, Judy?
      -         Sure! No problem!
-         To start with, can you tell me when you started the cat protection group?
-         Well, there were a lot of stray cats in the streets, cats with no homes, I had to do something.
-         Where do you keep them?
-         I’ve got six at home and twenty at my aunt’s.
-         What do you mean exactly, in her house?
-         No, she’s got a farm. They live outside.
-         How do you get money to pay for food and vet’s bills?
-         We sell stuff.
-         Can you explain that?
-         What I mean is people give us things like second hand clothes and we sell them at the market.
-         That’s great! Thanks, Judy.
